Mike
Simmons, founder and Chief Tinkerer of What If Widgets, was selected by the
Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California to be the newest
member of their board of directors. Mikes recognition of
the need for corporate ventures to contribute, collaborate and participate
with social ventures and community serving non-profits was a quality that made
him a perfect candidate for our Board, said Center CEO Darragh Kennedy.
The
Australian edition of marie claire included JACK with a dozen other
products such as the Apple MacBook Air, and said of all of them, "streamline
your life with these sleek and sexy new products." Click the cover to

JACK
appears this month in FELD Magazin, a German men's magazine covering culture,
fashion, and society. JACK is listed as #35 in the article entitled
100 Sachen (100 Things) - not bad for a new guy on the block!
Based on
sales of earbud JACK in the fourth quarter of 2007, What If Widgets gave its
first donations to the American Hearing Research Foundation (AHRF) and the
Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California (HSCNC). CEO of HSCNC,
Darragh Kennedy stated, "This is a really exciting partnership between What If
Widgets and the Center." Mike Simmons, chief tinkerer at What if
Widgets, said, "I'm very proud to be able to help these organizations, and I
look forward to sending larger donations each quarter as JACK's sales continue
to grow."
JACK made
a big splash at Macworld Expo this past week, attracting many new interested
resellers and distributors. Several hundred JACK's were sold to MAC and
iPod enthusiasts during the show, and the What If Widgets booth never had a
dull moment.
